Ready-made birthday party games for kindergarten kids are available in party supply stores, and you can find games to meet every preference, but why buy birthday party games when you can save money on homemade games and activities that are just as fun and exciting? Homemade games are really the most fun of all. If you are planning an upcoming birthday party for a child in kindergarten, consider the following fun birthday party games. These fun games appeal to boys and girls alike, and they will help make your child’s birthday party one to remember.

Hopping and Popping Game

Kids love balloons, especially kindergarten kids, and they love popping balloons as much as they love playing games. Begin setting up this fun and exciting birthday party game by putting stickers in balloons of various colors. Blow up the balloons, and cover the floor with them. Have the kids pop the balloons by stomping or sitting on them, and each balloon that pops will reveal a prize. This is a great way to help fill their birthday party goodie bags while providing a fun birthday party activity they are sure to love.

Homemade Beanbag Toss

It is common knowledge that kids love playing with boxes, and they sometimes play with the boxes that contained toys more than they play with the expensive toys the boxes once held. You can make a simple beanbag toss game especially for kindergarten kids with a sturdy box and homemade beanbags. Simply cut a hole in the side of a heavy-duty cardboard box, and tape the ends closed. Next, make quick and easy beanbags by partially filling sandwich bags with dried beans or rice, and for extra security tape the tops closed. Kindergarten kids will love this fun and exciting birthday party game, and more than likely they will want to keep playing this game long after the prizes have been handed out.

Wading Pool Treasure Hunt

Kindergarten kids enjoy treasure hunts, and a treasure hunt is one of the best birthday party games. Instead of hiding small wrapped candies and prizes all over the house, confine the hunt to a small area. Partially fill a small plastic wading pool with foam peanuts, and hide all sorts of prizes inside. Have the kids surround the pool and dig for coins, candy, and small toys. Provide each child with an empty birthday party goodie bag to collect the prizes, and when the game is over, award each child an extra prize for helping clean up the mess.

Spoon Race

A spoon race is a classic birthday party game, and this is one of the most challenging games for kindergarten kids. Line up two equal teams of kids, and at the start of the game, have the first two kids in each team try to balance and carry a wrapped Hershey’s Kiss on a spoon and drop it in a bucket on the other side of the room. After dropping the Hershey’s Kiss into the bucket, have each child run back and pass the spoon to the next child in line. The first team to successfully carry all of their Hershey’s Kisses to the bucket on the other side of the room is declared the winner.

Pass the Birthday Present Game

This birthday party game for kindergarten kids is a lot like a game of hot potato, but in this fun game, the person left holding the present is a winner. Wrap a small gift for every child attending the birthday party, and have them sit in a circle. Turn on a catchy tune, and have the kids quickly pass the present around. Whoever is left holding the present when the music goes off wins that prize. After a child wins a prize they are out of the game. The game continues until each child has a prize, including the very last person left in the game.

Prizes for All

All kindergarten kids should be made to feel like winners when participating in birthday party games, and no child should walk away empty-handed. Purchase inexpensive prizes for the occasion, and make sure every child receives a well deserved prize. Birthday parties are supposed to be fun, and win or lose; prizes should be passed out to everyone.
